Although education for sustainability should be integrated in all aspects of the school organisation and serve as the foundation of the curricula, rather than as isolated one-day events or specific lessons in a few subjects, the support network has chosen to focus this campaign for ESD around the themes of climate and transport. This is to make it easier to grasp, as the experience from schools that have strived to integrate ESD in all parts of their organisation, planning and teaching, have found that it works best to take it in steps, or it might become too overwhelming.
